◼️20.6ミリのシートポストを22.2ミリのシート・チューブに差すためのシート・ポスト・シム、あるいはシート・ポスト・アダプターを作りました。つまりはオールド・シュイン・スペックのシート・ポストを通常の22.2（25.4）ミリ・シート・チューブで使用するためのサイズ変換アダプターですね。使い方は単に差し込むだけのとてもシンプルなもの。
「22.2ミリのシート・ポストを選べば、なにもわざわざ変換することないじゃん」なんて思う方もいるかもしれません。が、20.6ミリで細めのシート・ポストをわざわざ使うということは、車両のオールド感を演出するにはいわゆるひとつのやり方なんですね。たとえば76年のレッド・ラインやマングースに20.6ミリのシート・ポストを装着する。それだけで「オヌシ、そちら系か」という感じだし、ヤグラの差し込み口が細い時代のサドルとの取り合いにも有用。そのようなパーツです。意外と探している方も多いはず。ですよね。

◾️I made a seat post shim, or seat post adapter, to insert a 20.6 mm seat post into a 22.2 mm seat tube. In other words, it is a size conversion adapter to use an old Schwinn spec seat post with a normal 22.2 (25.4) mm seat tube. It is very simple to use, just insert it. Some people may think, “If you choose a 22.2 mm seat post, there is no need to convert it.” However, using a thin 20.6 mm seat post is one way to create an old look for a vehicle. For example, put a 20.6 mm seat post on a 1976 Red Line or Mongoose. Just by doing that, you can say “Oh, you’re into that kind of thing,” and it is also useful for competing with saddles from the era when the seat insertion hole was thin. It is a part like that. I’m sure there are many people looking for it. Right?
